Well, anyway, everything has been collected, though clearly there was some inconsistency on the website.

3 foot lengths? It's not really a Christmas tree collection if you have to cut it to the size of normal green waste.

Liz, That's not what is said on the WODC site. The more general link is here: https://www.westoxon.gov.uk/binday

In particular: "Real Christmas trees will be collected for all households (including those without a current garden waste licence), on their scheduled garden waste collection day between Tuesday 9 January and Monday 22 January 2024. Please remove all decorations and reduce larger trees down to sections no longer than 3 ft to assist crews."

Also Garden waste and bulky waste collections are suspended and will resume on Tuesday 9 January 2024.

Garden waste is not scheduled for tomorrow for Park Street or anywhere else in Charlbury. For those at the top of town, the next garden waste day is Tuesday Jan 16th; for Park Street and the bottom part of town it should have been today (Tuesday). I am assuming the freezing weather was a factor, and crews may come indeed come tomorrow.

The link Richard posted says that it will all be collected tomorrow in Park St (and presumably elsewhere in this part of the town)

Well, no Green Waste or Christmas tree collection occurred as advised by WODC in our zone in the Town, so hopefully that and the Recycling and Food Waste will be collected tomorrow at some time. Trees have to be cut into 3 foot (1 metre for younger readers) lengths to assist the crews.

Charlburians need to remember that the town has two different zones for waste and recycling collection, and what applies to one house will not apply to all. Stephen's schedule, for example, does not apply to 'upper Charlbury' (Ticknell Piece, The Green, etc.). If you are not on the email reminders it is best to check your address here: https://community.westoxon.gov.uk/s/waste-collection-enquiry

Just had a waste collection reminder from WODC for Park St, which I then checked. Slightly confusingly, the collections appear split this week - Green Waste (including Christmas trees) will be collected tomorrow Tuesday 9th. Recycling and Food waste will be collected the following day on Wednesday 10th

If your next recycling is next Tuesday ( Market street) it is being collected on Wednesday 10th  and you can leave your Christmas trees out for collection then ( info West Oxfordshire web site).
