Fri 8 Dec 2023, 14:02 As the Bicester & Woodstock seat has seen barely any Labour presence even at council level in a generation (the Lib Dems are ahead of the Tories in the popular vote), it is very much going to be a two horse race. Labour have made an odd tactical choice in Banbury, selecting the councillor who put the Tories back in power on Cherwell council. |

Fri 8 Dec 2023, 12:53 Think Charlbury has now been moved to the Banbury seat. So hopefully a Labour gain, especially if they choose a pro PR and pro EU candidate. As for the Witney seat, hopefully a Lib Dem gain. Guess the new Woodstock and Bicester seat will be a three way marginal, so who knows there. |

Fri 8 Dec 2023, 12:22 Well they've pretty much run out of 'loyal' MPs. Hence our new doubled representation, one in each House. |

Thu 7 Dec 2023, 13:44 From the Law Gazette: “Barrister Robert Courts MP has been appointed solicitor general in the mini-reshuffle forced on the government by last night’s resignation of immigration minister Robert Jenrick MP. Courts, MP for Witney since 2016, replaces Michael Tomlinson KC MP who moves to the home office as minister of state (minister for illegal migration).” |
