Sorry, bit of trouble with the 'cut-and-paste', the Departures page is http://www.livedepartureboards.co.uk/ldb/sumdep.aspx?T=CBY&R=1&A=0

No trouble finding online timetables (for what it's worth!!): go to http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/link/travelinfo/timetables.php.
This was found via the 'Timetables you can print' link on the Charbury Live Departures page: http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/link/travelinfo/timetables.php
Good luck!

That would be the best thing probably, if they can tell you. What I normally do is check online, you can see the times that the train has left each station on route. Usually, if there is no report from the starting station it often means the train has been cancelled. You'll probably gather that this is not the most reliable service on the network! At the moment the 10.22 to London doesn't show as having left Malvern, so it would be a good idea to phone I guess.

Do you mean checking out with Malvern Station itself to see if the train has actually departed?

Malcolm, you can buy the tickets on the train, about £4.30 return for adults; there's no ticket machine I'm not sure about children. You can check times by going to the site: http://nationalrail.co.uk/passenger_services/

The first train listed on line is 10.22am, however my paper timetable lists the first one as 10.11am. There's a very good chance however that it won't show up at all. What I would do tomorrow is check on line that it has actually set out from Malvern before I would risk relying on it. My experience phoning rail enquiries is that their information is pretty inreliable, and often say a train is running when it's already cancelled. Good luck!

I assume the ticket office is closed sunday morning. What does one do about getting tickets for the train into Oxford? Buy it on the train, or get one in Oxford?

If there is a ticket machine, how much are the tickets for adults and children (8 yrs, if there is any difference...)

Be much more convenient to just take the train into Oxford for the morning as we are heading straight into the centre...

And wasn't it a pain finding an online timetable from Charlbury INTO Oxford, all the obvious buttons referred to Paddington up trains (or is it down trains, i.e. is Paddington as the main terminus up or down from the shires...?).

Thanks all
