I suppose it depends on how romanticised your view of Charlbury is!

Daffodils are (arguably) a less serious target than car tyres or smashed house windows, and both were a problem recently. A week ago a group of young males threw a stone at me as I was walking towards Ditchley (it missed). And remember that when John Kibble built his fountain on the Playing Close in the 1890s, the glass lanterns that went round the top were promptly smashed by the local youth.

Charlbury never has been, and never will be, the place we'd like it to be!

Even if you do suspect someone you should think before naming them on a public forum.

How sad to find the lovely roadside daffodils in Hixet Wood attacked by vandals.Who can we suspect?
