Thu 10 Nov 2005, 09:33 Apart from being my favourite Butcher (always friendly, does special orders, cuts beef and lamb French-style, if you ask, nice sons etc.), John is doing special orders on free range Turkeys for Thanksgiving (for any other North Americans who are interested). For carnivores, the Ditchley beef Angus rib roasts are to die for when you can get it. John doesn't make a big deal out of organic labeling, but his produce is nearly all locally sourced, if you've been following environmental recommendations on buying food. Also, his vegetables are tastier (and uglier) than the Co-ops and he always has shallots aplenty. Yum-yum.
