The road leading north from the junction in Enstone by the petrol station has been closed off by the Police. Apparently people have been stopping by and going into the field nearby to take photographs. Sick. My surmise is that the 'plane crashed on takeoff or approach on the southwest of the airfield. Wager engine failure on takeoff or attempting to make it back to the runway?

Sadly, another pilot has lost his life in a crash near the A44 close to Enstone. The plane was a replica Spitfire. This follows two deaths in a crash from 2015 and a serious barn fire caused by a plane crash from Enstone in 2018. Does anyone know if there are statistics kept of incidents?
