Rumours that it has been substituted by a mud wrestling competition.

Just a question regarding this show. I have horses out at night right next door so I’ll leave them in tonight if this goes ahead as planned. Would anyone know the likelihood of this in the rain? Do you think there’s a chance it’ll be postponed until tomorrow?

With todays weather watching it from home might be the best way that is as long as it's not cancelled :-)

Thanks, Tim, I will be unable to get there, so I will be looking out for the drones.

But tickets are still available to locals. Not very obvious on the forum, there was this post from Emma Kirkby of the Wilderness Team on 3 August, under the heading of "Entrance to Wilderness by foot":

Local Tickets

We are also happy to say we are offering a further round of Local Weekend tickets for £140 and Local Sunday Day tickets for £90.

Both are available to residents within the postcode OX7 3** and OX29 9**

Max 4 adult tickets per household and max 4 under 18s per adult

Under 18s must always be accompanied by an adult 18+ and cannot camp separately

To Register You Will Need

Proof of address: Utility bill or bank statement (within the last 3 months) including full name and address containing the postcode OX7 3** or OX29 9**

Proof of identity: With full name matching that on the proof of address

If you would like to purchase these on arrival, please bring the above registration documents to either our Pedestrian (Yellow), Red, or Pick Up Drop Off (Green) Box Office, depending on how you're travelling to the festival and our teams there will process this for you.

Just giving a heads up to Charlbury folk regarding Saturday night at Wilderness as its an aerial display and there may be a chance to see it from the town if you look out your windows and across towards Cornbury as I imagine with 500 drones they will be fairly high up in the sky

Details below

The Wilderness Spectacle

Sat 5th 22:50 - 23:00

Our Spectacle this year will be created by SKYMAGIC, the world’s leading drone light show studio who were the team behind May’s fabulous Coronation celebrations. They will design and perform a 500-strong drone light show in sketches across the night sky, reflecting the event’s wild spirit. SKYMAGIC are working with an award-winning team of creatives, technologists and storytellers to create their Spectacle show at Wilderness. As ever, the date that the Spectacle will take place will remain a secret so keep an eye on the sky whilst you're at the event!
