Thanks so much to Flora and her team for their help - and to the Cubs for adapting to the circumstances!

The chicks are now up off the ground in a sturdy box as close to the nest as we could get them and hopefully out of the southern sun, they have been located by the parents. I watched for a short time as the parents chased off various predators 1. A bird of prey 2. A magpie 3. A pair of squirrels.

Those swallows are precious, this is one of two nesting sites remaining in Charlbury that I am aware of. Anyone else have swallows nesting in Charlbury ?

Please be aware that there are 3 swallow chicks on the ground at the junction of the Scout Hut and the stone wall bordering Wigwell. We have ensured the Cubs meeting now keep well clear of this area, but can anyone provide help/protection for the chicks onwhen we finish at 8pm? Thanks.
