Ernigrip used to be at the Enstone airbase as Chris mentioned  but now operate from Middle Barton. 

They have provided an excellent service over many years for our Mercedes cars.

i recomended a garage that operates on Enston air field to one of mr customers & they sorted the problem out on a mercedes .that was about 3 years ago so i dont know if they are still there & i cant remember their name but ime sure if you google  garage / enston business park yo should find them......chris wastie

New Barn garage say that they are especially interested in German cars; when my beloved Audi softtop got its roof stuck part-way and several other garages wouldn't touch it, the chaps at New Barn set about it with relish and got it fixed.  I don't know whether they are the 'refreshingly honest' garage you mention, but if not I'd give Darren Sullivan and his team a try.

Can any of you recommend a good local Mercedes specialist (garage or individual)?

Here's what I already know:  
• my ten-year-old MB has a puzzling intermittent ailment;  
• local garage refreshingly honest about their limits;
• not much positive experience of the MB dealership in Oxford;
• MB&B in Cheltenham are good but inconvenient; 

Ideally a wizard or magician but failing that, a good mechanic with a detective's mind...?
