Where is the Coronation picnic?

The Charlbury Coronation Big Lunch/Picnic was a huge success. The music was fun. Do please grow up and stop being so silly.

There is no need for that kind of insulting post. The bands all put a huge amount of effort in as did all the other people involved in the day. Can I suggest that if you are that “anti” local music and musicians, either close your curtains and windows or maybe move to a quieter more boring part of the Cotswolds. The mood on Sunday was of a true community day and your posts detract from that

Assuming that’s a typo, as nobody would pay £150 to see these four local acts. Resident tickets to Wilderness are less, Guns N Roses in Hyde Park with multiple support acts is less.

Well, if it rains, it rains!! That has never dampened the spirits of Charlburians before.

This is a bit of a 'hippy' gig - that means that there is no controlling group.

Everybody is simply invited to turn up and enjoy each others' company.

One thing that is organised though; that is the live music from 1pm 

There is a four-band line-up which would cost you at least £150 if you had to pay entry.

Yes, loads of room for mums, dads and kids to picnic and roam on Nine Acres.

And, where else do you get free, live music all afternoon?

We have 'Mingus Tree', we have 'Newspaper Taxi', we have the 'Jesters' and we have the amazing 'Vodka Shots' headlining!!

If you can't be bothered with the picnic, there will be barbecues.

There will be plenty of space for the picnics. The key protection for the ground is to stop heavy use such as football on the surface that can disturb the seed. Laying a picnic down, and light games should be fine. The bottom area/ pitch  near the tennis courts will be fully available
