This service will surely now operate via Swindon & Kemble and return using that same route as originally planned.

With the bridge closure north of Culham, this is presumably not going to be running, or can it be diverted via the Chiltern Line?

Thanks Simon.

Passing through at 13.11 - the same time as an Up train will be sitting in Platform 2 according to Realtime Trains.

Looks to be one of Braunton (Southern Railway West Country Class), Royal Scot (London Midland Scottish Royal Scot Class) or Britannia (British Railways Britannia Class)

Just to add to today's mirth and merriment, more to come next Saturday (8th April) - merriment anyway - as it looks like there will be a steam train coming through SFP (must remember to get the acronym right now!) probably around lunchtime.  One way only, as usual, heading towards Worcester.  No info yet on which engine it will be.
