On a related note, how are people accessing Delay Repay for advance tickets that are then cancelled?  The First Group website doesn’t recognise services they’ve cancelled.  I’ve stuck in a complaint, but is there a relatively hassle-free workaround?

Sadly, another person was hit by a train between Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross on the Chiltern Line this evening, so almost the entire evening service on the routes to Oxford and Birmingham was cancelled from 6.30pm until just now, with a handful of late evening trains expected to run.

Yes, sadly you can never get the train with anything other than hope that it will a) run and b) get there these days!

This was down to a person being hit in the Slough area according to the tannoy

You can never tell until the actual day! The 12:12 train from Charlbury to Paddington is cancelled today and subsequent trains are delayed. 

London to Oxford Parkway is much more of a reliable service (as is London to Banbury) as both are operated by Chiltern and not GWR!

Does anyone know for certain whether trains from London to Charlbury are running this Friday ? I have had conflicting messages. Or, even London to Oxford Parkway ?
