If you are archiving newsletters on your website,  there isn't a GDPR issue.

Am I the only one confused here? What does archiving the newsletter have to do with Data protection?

you might want a more serious approach about data protection than asking the town forum.... looking at the website you shared it states "There are 2,500 clubs in the UK and many worldwide" does the parent company not have a data protection officer / policy who can advise?
