Thu 9 Feb 2023, 19:22 In fact, Jupiter is currently about 517 million miles from Earth, and Venus is about 136 million miles away. Venus is almost exactly the same size as Earth, but Jupiter has a diameter approximately 11 times that of our own planet. I always find that astronomy helps put things into perspective! |

If you find yourself seeing lights in the sky often, you might find this website useful. (I use it a lot, as well as the smartphone and desktop apps.) https://stellarium-web.org/ Of course, it could be sunlight reflecting off a Chinese "weather balloon". |
