She has dementia, we can't leave her by herself in a house without hot water as she won't understand why it's like it, much as she doesn't remember the tap is broken. It causes even more issues! Thompson are coming tomorrow afternoon, so I need to get someone to sit with her until they do.

There should be valve on the pipe supplying cold water to the hot water storage tank (assuming there is one). Turn that off and there will be no hot water anywhere.

Trouble is they say it'll be before the end of the week and it needs to be done today before she wrecks it further trying to fix it herself (she has dementia).

Does anyone have details for someone who could come out and fix the mixer tap at my mother's ASAP? The hot water is running non-stop.
