Good companies products services for older people?

I am looking for info from people who have had good or bad experiences with local (or national if appropriate) companies that supply products and services to older folk. I'm thinking fall alarms, stair lifts, key safes, in-home careers, legal advice, wearable devices, age-specific apps, monitoring devices, bathroom conversion, handrail installation, etc.

Also, has anyone had experience of someone inviting someone, possibly a younger person, to live with them for comfort, support and companionship, rather than just for finance?
